It's all about the food!
It's bake sale season once again. One of the committees that I am on is having a bake sale this weekend. I'll probably whip up a couple of things, but I think I will start with fudge. This recipe is really easy to make and very, very yummy! It never lasts long when I make it.
3 cups (750 mL) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 can (300 mL) sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla
Optional: chopped nut (peanuts or walnuts), candy bits, a swirl of peanut butter, etc.
Optional: shaped cookie cutters for a fun display
** You can use a little cookie cutter (shaped according to holiday or function) and cut the fudge into shapes. The scraps can be eaten for extra energy while you work.**
I was born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and spent the first half my life there. I became a mom just after I turned 20 and within a couple of years, decided to move from a small town to a bigger city to take advantage of better job opportunities. After a few great jobs, I finally settled in at a legal publishing company. 13 years later, I'm still there.
